Surah Al-Lail · Explorer · train 2 of 3

If gold can't keep a person afloat, what can?

Each engine carries a word from Surah Al-Lail. Cut them out and couple the carriages behind them.

Cut along the dashed lines. If a word needs the same carriage twice, make a second copy.

Write one letter in each carriage, starting next to the engine. Then read the word to someone at home.
Now the other way: join the carriages and write the word in the engine.

About ten minutes. There is no score: a wrong try is just part of the ride.
Lay the train out on the floor or table. Count the carriages together and ask: If gold can't keep a person afloat, what can?
Mix up the carriages. Your child couples them behind the right engine, starting next to the engine.
Open the mushaf at Surah Al-Lail and find each word in its ayah. Read the meaning of the ayah together.
Swap roles: your child is the conductor and shows you a card. You read it, and they check you. Then stamp the ticket.
