Letter Line · train 3 of 5

Which carriage looks like a boat? Which one has the most dots?

Cut along the dashed lines and colour the carriages in. Then play the games with the real cards.

1. Write the missing letters in order, starting next to the engine.
2. How many dots? Write the number under each letter, in Arabic or English.

About ten minutes. There is no score: a wrong try is just part of the ride.
Lay the train out on the floor or table. Count the carriages together and ask: Which letters share a body and differ only by their dots?
Count the dots on each letter. Above or below?
Put the carriages in hijaiyyah order while singing the letters.
Swap roles: your child is the conductor and shows you a card. You read it, and they check you. Then stamp the ticket.
